Nepal covers a lot of ground in a small area, and this 8-day tour is built around that fact. You visit four destinations that represent different sides of the country: the UNESCO heritage temples of Kathmandu, the Himalayan lake views of Pokhara, the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Lumbini, and the national park wildlife of Chitwan.
The tour works well for first-time Nepal visitors who want a broad introduction without committing to a trek. Travel is by private vehicle with an English-speaking guide throughout. All park permits, heritage site entry fees, guided tours, and inter-city transfers are included in the price.
Four destinations in eight days means the pace is comfortable but consistent. No two days feel the same, which is part of what makes this one of the more popular introductions to Nepal.

Yes. There are no strenuous activities on this itinerary, making it suitable for children of most ages. Absolutely. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant archaeological and spiritual sites in Asia, regardless of religious background. The Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar from 249 BC, and the international monastery zone representing dozens of countries make it a compelling cultural and historical destination for any traveller.
Chitwan National Park has one of the highest densities of one-horned rhinoceros in the world and sightings are very common, particularly on jeep safaris and canoe rides along the Rapti River. While wildlife sightings can never be fully guaranteed, the combination of jeep safari, canoe ride, and nature walk gives you multiple opportunities throughout the day.
Beyond the one-horned rhinoceros, Chitwan is home to Bengal tigers, gharial and mugger crocodiles, sloth bears, leopards, spotted deer, and over 500 species of birds. Tiger sightings are rarer but do occur. Your naturalist guide will be tracking fresh signs throughout the safari.

As one of the core guiding principles for Mountain Kick, we always give back to the mountain community in any way we can as a means of gratitude. The people who live in the Himalayas and share their homes with us deserve to have all their little problems fixed which seem very basic for outsiders but are commonplace in rural Nepal. The people lack proper access to healthcare, sanitation and education but a little effort from travellers goes on a long way to solve these issues. Mountain Kick has made it its corporate social responsibility to help improve the living standards of the local community. We make donations to their cause, organize social campaigns and programs and also have a few trips designed to mix a little volunteer work in your holiday.
