Eleven days combining Trishuli River rafting, a sunrise trek to Sarangkot, tandem paragliding, bungee jumping at Hemja, and a full day wildlife safari in Chitwan National Park.
Trishuli rafting, Sarangkot paragliding, and Hemja bungee all included with no hidden extras
Hike 3 hours to the 1,592m summit at dawn then paraglide directly back down to Phewa Lake
One-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, and gharial crocodile in one of Asia's most biodiverse parks
Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square with a licensed guide
This is an 11-day private tour built around three paid adventure activities, all included in the price. It opens with a full heritage day in Kathmandu covering four UNESCO sites, then moves to the Trishuli River for a day of Grade 2 and 3 white-water rafting before continuing to Pokhara. In Pokhara you spend three days: a pre-dawn 3-hour trek to Sarangkot at 1,592m followed immediately by a 30 to 45-minute tandem paragliding flight back down to Phewa Lake, a bungee jump from the 262-foot Hemja platform, and a full lakeside sightseeing day. The second half heads south to Chitwan National Park for two days of wildlife activities including a jeep safari, Rapti River canoe, and guided jungle walk. The trip closes with a free day and farewell dinner in Kathmandu.
No trekking experience is needed. The Sarangkot climb is the most physical moment of the trip, a 3-hour uphill on a clear trail before dawn. If you can walk uphill for 3 hours you can do this. The rafting, paragliding, and bungee all require no prior experience. Professional guides and certified pilots handle each activity with full safety briefings before you start.
MountainKick runs this fully private with a licensed guide throughout all 11 days. All activity bookings, Chitwan permits, and logistics are coordinated before your arrival. Travel insurance covering rafting, paragliding, and bungee jumping is compulsory on this trip.
What you will see and do:
For travellers who want the same three activities combined with the Panchase Hill trek instead of Chitwan, the Nepal Adventure and Pokhara Panchase Trek covers the same activities in 12 days. For the longest version with rafting, Poon Hill trekking, Lumbini, and Chitwan in one trip, the Nepal Trekking, Rafting and Safari runs 19 days.
Your guide meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfers you to your hotel in Thamel. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Your guide runs through the full 11-day itinerary in the evening including safety protocols for all three adventure activities.
Full day at four UNESCO World Heritage Sites by private vehicle. Morning at Pashupatinath on the Bagmati River and Boudhanath Stupa at the kora path, then Swayambhunath hilltop stupa with panoramic valley views, and Kathmandu Durbar Square in the old city centre. Afternoon free to explore Thamel.
Early departure for Charaundi on the Trishuli River, around 3 hours from Kathmandu. Safety briefing from your rafting guides then 3 hours on the water through Grade 2 and 3 rapids to Kurintar. Change out of wet gear and continue to Pokhara, arriving at the lakeside hotel in the evening.
Departure before dawn for the 3-hour trek to Sarangkot summit at 1,592m. The trail climbs steeply through forest and open hillside, arriving at the top as the Annapurna range catches the first light. Your paragliding pilot meets you at the launch site. Take off directly from the summit for a 30 to 45-minute tandem flight above Phewa Lake back down to the lakeside landing strip.
Transfer to Hemja bungee site, 15 minutes north of Pokhara. Full safety briefing from certified instructors then the jump from the 262-foot steel platform with open valley views. Return to Pokhara for the afternoon. World Peace Pagoda above Phewa Lake, Gupteshwor Cave, and Devi’s Fall are all within easy reach for the free afternoon.
A slower day after three consecutive activity days. Morning boat ride on Phewa Lake to Tal Barahi Temple on the island. The International Mountain Museum covers the history of Himalayan climbing and the people behind it. Free afternoon on the lakeside strip before the early departure to Chitwan tomorrow.
Drive south from Pokhara through the Prithvi Highway into the subtropical Terai plains. The landscape shifts noticeably as you drop in elevation from the mountain foothills to flat jungle lowlands. Arrive at your jungle resort in Sauraha by early afternoon. Naturalist guide briefing on wildlife and safari activities. Tharu cultural dance show in the evening.
Early morning canoe ride on the Rapti River for gharial crocodile, marsh mugger, and waterbird sightings. Guided jungle walk through sal forest and grassland with your naturalist tracking fresh animal signs. Afternoon jeep safari deep into Chitwan National Park for one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, leopard, and spotted deer.
After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu via Narayanghat and Muglin through the Terai plains and up into the Kathmandu Valley. Arrive in the evening with one full day still ahead.
Free morning for last-minute sightseeing or shopping. Thamel, Asan Bazaar, and New Road cover handicrafts, thangka paintings, pashmina, and trekking gear. Traditional Nepali farewell dinner hosted by MountainKick in the evening with cultural performances to close out 11 days.
Breakfast at your hotel in Thamel, then a private transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. Your guide sees you off at departures.
Kathmandu nights are at a 3-star hotel in Thamel with private en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and WiFi. The location puts you close to the heritage sites on Day 2 and within easy reach of the airport on arrival and departure.
Pokhara is four nights at a 3-star lakeside hotel in the Baidam area with views of Phewa Lake or the Annapurna range. The lakeside location keeps you close to the Sarangkot trek departure point, the bungee transfer, and the restaurant strip throughout your Pokhara stay.
Chitwan is two nights at a jungle resort in Sauraha on the edge of the national park buffer zone. Lodge-style rooms in a natural setting with all meals included. Your naturalist guide is based on site and wildlife is visible from the resort grounds.
Single supplement is available on request at all city hotels. Jungle resort rooms cannot be guaranteed as single occupancy.
Breakfast is included at all hotels throughout the trip. All meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included during your two nights at the Chitwan jungle resort. The farewell dinner with cultural performance in Kathmandu on Day 10 is also included.
Lunches and dinners in Kathmandu and Pokhara are at your own expense. In Thamel restaurants cover every cuisine and budget at $8 to $15 per person for dinner. In Pokhara the lakeside strip has the same range. On the rafting day lunch is not included so eat a good breakfast before you get on the water and budget for a meal at Kurintar before the drive to Pokhara.
Chitwan resort food is simple, good quality, and plentiful. All three meals are included on both days. Your naturalist guide eats with the group which is a good time to debrief on the day’s sightings.

“I’m already planning for the trip AGAIN and you would know which company I’d choose AGAIN…”
Finally, I had the opportunity to meander across the splendor of the Himalayas. My first concern after researching everything there was to know about Nepal was my safety and my child’s welfare. But upon our arrival at the airport, I found out that Kathmandu is one of the meanest places…
“MountainKick is haven for trekkers and one cannot afford to miss it if you are interested in trekking in Nepal.”
To whoever reading this and wondering about the legitimacy of this company, they are for real. The team is genuinely dedicated to making your trekking memorable and rewarding. “We liked the concern of this company for its staffs and the environmental awareness and it has.”
There was always a response from Jagat as we had so many things to ask. We had insisted on having a Nepali guide instead of a westerner because we had to make sure the money we spend actually goes to Nepali people. We chose this company because we had heard…
“We had the trip of our lifetime”
We had the trip of our lifetime thanks to the warm hospitality bestowed upon us and the beauty of such amazing country. From well-organized trips, exotic locations, cultural sightseeing to the thrill of safari, “soft” trekking to Poon Hill, everything was memorable. Our trekking guide was Shiva, apparently named after…
Three paid adventure activities are fully included: white-water rafting on the Trishuli River from Charaundi to Kurintar covering Grade 2 and 3 rapids, tandem paragliding from Sarangkot with a certified pilot for 30 to 45 minutes above Pokhara, and bungee jumping from the 262-foot steel platform at Hemja. All safety gear, certified guides and pilots, and activity fees are included. No prior experience is needed for any of the three.
Both trips include the same three adventure activities: Trishuli rafting, Sarangkot paragliding, and Hemja bungee. The difference is in the second half. The Nepal Adventure and Pokhara Panchase Trek adds a 4-day mountain trek to Panchase Hill at 2,506m instead of the Chitwan safari. This tour is 11 days and suits travellers who want the three activities plus wildlife. The Panchase Trek is 12 days and suits those who want the activities plus a proper mountain summit.
This itinerary includes the 3-hour trek to the Sarangkot summit before the paragliding flight. The trek is the right way to do it on an adventure tour: you arrive at the launch site having earned the view and the flight down feels more rewarding. A vehicle option to the launch site exists if needed for mobility reasons. Let us know when you book and we will adjust.
Yes. The Trishuli River Grade 2 and 3 rapids are Nepal’s most popular beginner rafting section. Professional guides, helmets, and life jackets are provided. A full safety briefing covers all techniques and emergency procedures before you launch. The main requirement is following your guide’s instructions and informing them of any swimming limitations before you get on the water.
Bungee jumping at Hemja has a minimum age of 10 years, minimum weight of 35kg, and maximum weight of 110kg. Paragliding from Sarangkot has no formal published weight limit but operators typically work with passengers up to around 100kg. Let us know in advance if this is relevant and we will confirm with the operator before your trip. Rafting has no formal age or weight restrictions but basic comfort in water is helpful.
All three adventure activities are weather-dependent. Paragliding is the most affected by poor conditions as low cloud and rain ground flights regularly in monsoon and can affect them in other months too. Your guide monitors conditions daily and will advise on the day. In most cases a short postponement within the itinerary is possible. Travel insurance with adventure activity coverage is essential for this trip in case an activity cannot run within the itinerary window.
Chitwan National Park is home to one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, sloth bears, leopards, gharial and mugger crocodiles, and over 500 bird species. Rhino sightings on jeep safari are very common. Tiger sightings are rarer but do occur on early morning safaris. The Rapti River canoe section is excellent for crocodiles and waterbirds. Your naturalist guide tracks fresh signs throughout the day and positions the vehicle for the best sightings.
Travel insurance is compulsory on this trip and must specifically cover white-water rafting, paragliding, and bungee jumping plus emergency medical evacuation. Standard travel insurance policies frequently exclude adventure activities so check your policy carefully before you travel. This is non-negotiable on this itinerary given the three paid adventure activities.
October and November are the prime months. Skies are clear, the Annapurna range from Sarangkot is at its sharpest, the Trishuli is at a good rafting level, and Chitwan wildlife is most visible. March and April are equally good. December and January are cooler and the Sarangkot pre-dawn trek is cold but clear. June to September is monsoon season. Paragliding is frequently grounded, the Trishuli can run dangerously high, and this tour is not recommended during those months.
Yes with some caveats. The heritage sightseeing, Chitwan safari, canoe ride, and Sarangkot trek are all suitable for children with reasonable fitness. The bungee has a minimum age of 10 and a minimum weight of 35kg. Paragliding is tandem so younger children need to meet the operator’s minimum requirements. Let us know the ages of any children when you book and we will confirm which activities they can join.
Yes. Common adjustments include adding extra days in Pokhara, swapping Chitwan for the Panchase trek, or upgrading city hotels to 4-star or 5-star. For the longest version of this type of trip combining rafting, paragliding, bungee, trekking, Lumbini, and Chitwan in one itinerary, the Nepal Trekking, Rafting and Safari runs 19 days. Kumar replies personally within a few hours and is happy to adjust around your schedule.
