We picked Gokyo over the usual Everest Base Camp route and don’t regret it at all. Rames was friendly, experienced, and easy to travel with. The lakes, glaciers, and mountain views were stunning, especially around Gokyo itself. It felt like a genuine Himalayan adventure without the crowds.
